A.D. Herath Engineering was established by Mr. H.M. Ashoka Dilshan Kumara, a qualified NDT Civil Engineer and Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, based in Poddala, Galle. From the beginning, the goal was straightforward: deliver quality, eco-friendly construction at prices that are honest and fair.
Our ICTAD/CIDA C4 registration qualifies us to tender for government and public sector projects island-wide. That accreditation, alongside our team's professional credentials, has earned us contracts with the Road Development Authority, Ceylon Electricity Board, Save the Children International and the National Water Supply & Drainage Board.
The team we have built reflects the standards we hold ourselves to. Our Consultant Engineer graduated from the University of Moratuwa and brings 28 years of hands-on industry experience. Our Head of Construction holds an MSc in Construction Project Management and has supervised sites for over 12 years. Our Head of Tendering is an IQSSL member with 9 years of quantity surveying expertise.
Starting from the Southern Province, we have steadily grown to take on projects in Kaluthara, Monaragala, Badulla and other districts, completing roads, school facilities, water supply infrastructure and residential buildings that people rely on every day.

Qualified NDT Civil Engineer and Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (AMIIESL, AM1359). He founded A.D. Herath Engineering with a clear purpose: to deliver quality, eco-friendly construction at prices that are accessible to all.
Mr. R.K. Kumara
Consultant Engineer
BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, with a Diploma in Project Management. He brings over 28 years of practical experience in structural design, project management and government contract works.
Mr. Y.B.M.C.J. Yapa Bandara
Head of Construction
MSc in Construction Project Management, NDT qualified and an Associate Member of IESL. With 12 years of site management experience on school infrastructure and government road projects, he leads all on-site operations.
Mr. Ashan Chinthaka
Head of Tendering and Procurement
Member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL), specialising in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, government tender submissions and procurement management. He has 9 years of QS and procurement experience.

ICTAD C4 Registration
Achieved ICTAD/CIDA C4 registration, formally qualifying the company to tender for government contracts and public sector projects island-wide.
First Government Contract
Successfully completed COVID-19 storage facilities in Horana for VOV Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, marking our entry into government-linked construction.
Road Projects Expansion
Secured and delivered multiple road rehabilitation contracts in the Kaluthara district totalling over Rs. 40 million, including paving, base courses and earthworks.
Save the Children, Rs. 93M
Awarded a significant contract to construct school toilet and kitchen facilities across the Monaragala and Badulla districts for Save the Children International.
CEB and NWSDB Works
Completed chain link fencing works for the Ceylon Electricity Board and water supply pipe laying for the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.
Continued Growth
Expanded team and machinery fleet. Multiple active residential buildings, government tenders and consultancy projects running across Galle and beyond.
